Grafton Ghost Town

The ghost town of Grafton is just south of Zion National Park. Grafton was settled in December 1859 by farmers to grow cotton. The town was named after Grafton, Massachusetts. By 1864, 28 families lived in Grafton. The towns location was plagued by flooding that eventually led to its demise.
One of the memorable scenes in the movie “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” is the bicycle scene. This scene was filmed in the Grafton Ghost Town.
